So we have a trio of geldings that mow our pasture. The oldest, a noble and in his prime 17 on April 15th, is King. He is a foxtrotter who I first met when I was 16. He was three years old, covered in red mud and ran with his tail in the air like an arab- but prettier. Through all the years since, we have been separated at time or two due to pcsing over seas but he is and will always be my baby. We do CTR’s together and that is just an amazing experience.
We also have Oklahoma Flash, an appendix Palomino who my husband found due to pure amazing luck. He described his dream horse to the woman who boarded my horse at the time and she happened to know where that horse was. 5 miles away. Now nine years old he is the puppy dog of the bunch and recently changed his hairdo to a mohawk. It suits him.
My husband shares Flash with our 8 year old who graduated up from our last bachelor, Rain.
An age unknown pony (approx teens) he has guided her for the last 4 years and will now be our 2 year olds beloved mount. Bomb proof and sweet, he defies most pony clichés except for his determination to founder when least expected.
We love em.
